I believe that life is a constant challenge in all human beings, where it is based on surviving and fighting for what we want no matter what happens. Poe writes in his book and shows us through the man who stars in this story, that we should never leave things even side that we always have to keep our heads high and survive to reach the top of the mountain. Basically history begins in the inquisition where a man for the simple reason to think a little different from the others is condemned to death. Thing that today, in the middle of 2017 is still living giving results as wars and many deaths by just a matter of having a different religion, a different skin color, or having a sexual orientation other than 'normal'.
